Our 315th Soldiers who have been serving in Afghanistan in support of Operation: Enduring Freedom will be returning home today from Ft. Dix, New Jersey.  Our recent communication with our guys there say they will be landing at various airports this afternoon and evening, mostly LAX and John Wayne.  The FRG tried to schedule a welcome home committee however, the times of their arrivals has not been confirmed and many of the soldiers are going to different airports.  If you have any information about their return, please contact the FRG.  Otherwise, be sure to call your battle buddies and welcome them home.  We are planning something for them when they return to drill.  Welcome home heroes!  We've missed you!

I am reposting this as a reminder for everyone since the 315th has some veterans returning from Afghanistan in support of OEF.  Build a Sign is giving away banners and signs for free to the families of returning servicemen and women.  All you pay is shipping and handling which is about $15.  You can choose from different templates and even add your own picture.  Check out their website at www.buildasign.com/troops.  Order soon so you can have it by the time your loved ones return!

Attention Ladies!  The Apple Valley Gun Club holds monthly programs for women to help familiarize them with different weapons for security and protection.  The FRG is looking for any females that are interested (No Husbands Allowed).  The cost is around $35 per person plus ammunition.  Let us know if you are interested by contacting us on our Contact Us page or emailing us directly at [email protected].  Space is limited so we want to reserve our spots as soon as possible.  The next women's programs are 22 April, 30 June, and 27 October.  Let us know which date works best for you and we will try and get a group together to go.  Check out their website at http://www.applevalleygunclub.com/index.php?page=38.  Happy shooting!

There will be an FRG Meeting on Saturday, March 31 at 0900.  The location will be determined soon.  We will meet SPC Tommy Hoang, the new FRL, and discuss Family Day, possible Rummage Sale dates, and gift basket ideas for the returning OIF/OEF/OND  315th soldiers.  Please contact us through this website, our Facebook page, or via email ([email protected]) if you would like to attend.  Feel free to bring other members that would like to help out!

SPC Tommy Hoang has recently been named the new Family Readiness Liaison for the 315th FRG.  The FRL is responsible for communication between the civilian FRG members and the 315th Company Commander and soldiers.  SPC Hoang is replacing former FRL CPL Wood.  Be sure to welcome Tommy, he has already been in contact with the FRG and is arranging future events.  Welcome SPC Hoang!
